Mumbai, Apr 10: In a heartfelt and humorous revelation, actor-host Manish Paul shared a memorable incident involving none other than Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, recalling how a casual compliment from the megastar left him momentarily stunned and speechless.

Speaking on the popular podcast hosted by Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa, Manish opened up about his experiences of sharing stages and screen time with some of the biggest names in the industry. “Hosting award shows and doing world tours with big stars is a different game altogether,” he shared.

Recalling the unforgettable night, Manish said, “I remember I was hosting an award show. Salman sir was there, sitting in the audience. Suddenly, he said, ‘Aey, Manish!’… and I just blanked out. For a few seconds, I couldn’t believe he took my name!”

What followed was even more surreal for the Delhi-born entertainer. “I finished my work and left. Later, I got a call — it was Salman Khan himself. He said, ‘Mind-blowing, you did good, very nice… Salman bol raha hun.’ He spoke so casually, like a friend, and I got so nervous!” Manish added that Salman later invited him to his Eid party and asked him to host the Da-Bangg tour, a major show led by the superstar.

Reflecting on his journey, Manish admitted to occasional bouts of insecurity. “I recently saw Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar at an event. I’m just a guy from Malviya Nagar, Delhi, and now I’m chatting with Bachchan saab… I sometimes wonder, where did I get this courage from?”

However, he also highlighted the humility of genuine stars. “Big, genuine actors give you warmth. If they see a spark in you, they lift you up. Of course, there are also those who see your spark and don’t let you shine.”

Manish, who began his career with Ghost Bana Dost, has come a long way, starring in TV serials like Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi and Ssshhhh...Phir Koi Hai, and making his mark in films such as Tees Maar Khan, Mickey Virus, and JugJugg Jeeyo.

From fanboy moments to sharing the stage with icons, Maniesh Paul’s journey continues to inspire many young dreamers from small towns aiming to make it big in the glitzy world of showbiz.
