Mumbai, Apr 11: Actor-politician Ravi Kishan’s powerful new avatar in the upcoming web series Clean Up Crew has been unveiled, giving fans a glimpse into a bold and gripping transformation. The makers released the first poster of the show, where Kishan is seen in a fierce, emotionally-charged pose, capturing a raw intensity that hints at the complex character he is set to portray.
The poster, shared exclusively, features the Bhojpuri superstar mid-roar, exuding a dangerous aura. With a penetrating glare and palpable rage, the look suggests Kishan’s role is anything but ordinary — possibly dark, layered, and full of unpredictable twists.
Though Clean Up Crew is yet to be officially announced, early reports suggest the series is set against the murky crime-ridden backdrop of a Bengal-Bihar border town. The narrative reportedly blends high-octane crime drama with elements of dark comedy. Joining Ravi in the series are actors Jisshu Sengupta and Saswata Chatterjee, among others — promising a stellar ensemble cast.
The series also marks Ravi Kishan’s third collaboration with Jio Studios, following his recent acclaimed performances in Laapataa Ladies and Singham Again.
Notably, his role as Inspector Shyam Manohar in Laapataa Ladies has earned him critical acclaim and major accolades, including the award for Best Supporting Role (Male) at the prestigious International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2025.
Visibly emotional during his acceptance speech, Kishan said, “This is the first time I have come on the stage of IIFA. I am speechless because I have acted in so many films — from regional to 750 films — but I have never won at IIFA. It’s a long journey, as I said earlier. People come walking, and I have come up crawling.”
Directed by Kiran Rao, Laapataa Ladies has been a major success story, bagging 10 trophies at the IIFA Awards and spotlighting fresh talent alongside veterans like Ravi Kishan.
With Clean Up Crew, Kishan seems ready to once again dominate the screen with a performance that promises to be both gritty and unforgettable.
