Mouni Roy hits back at trolls, says she won’t be bothered by online hate

Mumbai, Apr 13: Actress Mouni Roy, who has often been the target of online trolling over her changing appearance, has hit back at critics, saying she remains unfazed by negativity on social media.

“Let everyone do their job... I do not pay attention to such remarks,” said the Naagin star, adding, “If you hide behind a screen to troll others and if you find happiness in that, so be it.”

Recently, Mouni stirred a wave of online speculation over her changed look, with netizens suspecting another round of cosmetic procedures—ranging from lip enhancement to Botox. A reel she posted on Instagram, in which she sported a strapless black gown and fresh bangs, further fuelled buzz as many pointed out how her face seemed different.

Despite the chatter, the actress seems more focused on her upcoming film The Bhootnii, where she plays a haunting ghost named ‘Mohabbat’. “I’ve done all my stunts myself. Thanks to my experience on Naagin and Brahmastra, I was quite comfortable. Stunts are like choreography, and being a dancer helps,” she shared.

The horror-action comedy also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Singh, Palak Tiwari, Beyounick, and Aasif Khan. The Bhootnii is slated for release on April 18.
