Udupi, April 20: Sandeep Poojary (37), a member of the Udupi District Working Journalists' Association and district correspondent for ETV Bharat, passed away on Sunday, April 20 in the morning.
He had sustained serious injuries in a road accident that occurred on March 29 near Ballupete in Sakleshpura. Following the accident, he had been undergoing treatment at KMC Hospital, Manipal.
Sandeep suffered severe spinal cord injuries and remained in critical condition. Despite receiving intensive medical care, he succumbed to his injuries.

A resident of Shirva in Kaup taluk, Sandeep had served the media industry for several years. He had previously worked as a cameraman for Public TV and Spandana News Channel, and as a cameraman and reporter for BTV.
At the time of his passing, he was serving as a correspondent for ETV Bharat. He was also involved as a technician with live broadcasting channels such as C4U and Prime Karl.
He is survived by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
The Udupi District Working Journalists' Association has expressed deep condolences over his demise.
