Beltangady: Woman dies after bike accident at Naluru

Beltangady, Apr 22: A woman who sustained serious injuries in a bike accident near Bokkasa in Naluru village late on Sunday night, April 21, passed away on Monday, April 22.

The deceased has been identified as Pratima (37), a resident of Kodimajalu Eliyanadugodu in Siddakatte, Bantwal taluk.

The accident occurred while Pratima was returning home with her husband Harish after attending a family function in Aladangady. Their bike reportedly skidded on a downhill stretch near Goliyangady, causing the couple to fall onto the road.

Harish sustained serious injuries, while Pratima suffered a severe head injury and lost consciousness. She died en route to the government hospital in Beltangady. Harish is being treated at a private hospital in Beltangady.

Police visited the spot and registered a case. Pratima is survived by her husband and two children.
