New Delhi, Apr 23: In a major push to the ‘Make in India’ initiative, Optiemus Unmanned Systems has partnered with Taiwan-based Avix Technology to co-develop and manufacture high-performance drone cameras, gimbals, and components in India.

Announced at the Milipol India Exhibition 2025, the partnership aims to build a self-reliant defence tech ecosystem. Avix brings cutting-edge UAV expertise, while Optiemus contributes its manufacturing capabilities and knowledge of local defence needs.

“We are proud to support India’s defence modernisation and the ‘Make in India’ vision,” said Ashok Gupta, executive chairman, Optiemus Group. Avix CEO Cooper Chang added, “Together, we aim to co-create advanced drone technologies for India’s defence.”

Optiemus also unveiled four new drones Marak VT100, Vajra QC55, a canister-launched loitering munition, and FPV drones designed for defence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, with the ability to function in GNSS-denied and electronic warfare zones.

A key highlight is the OFC (optical fibre cable) navigation in FPV drones, making them resistant to electronic jamming.

The company is also working with Indian component makers showcasing indigenous products at the expo.
