Bengaluru, Apr 24: In a special Chamarajanagar session on Thursday, the Karnataka cabinet unanimously condemned the Pahalgam terror massacre, extending the state’s deepest sympathies to the victims’ families and demanding a full investigation into the intelligence and security breakdowns that allowed the attack. The resolution characterized the killings as “heinous acts against humanity” and called on the Union government to bolster preventive measures to avert future tragedies.

Joining the cabinet’s stance, former MP D.K.?Suresh—brother of Deputy Chief Minister D.K.?Shivakumar—paid respects to slain Kannadiga Bharat Bhushan and echoed the urgent need for national unity in confronting terrorism. He lauded Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah’s ongoing security consultations, pledged Congress support for all counterterrorism decisions, and stressed that while diplomatic moves are welcome, only decisive action will safeguard citizens.

As the state mourns its fallen and seeks accountability, Karnataka’s leaders have signaled unwavering solidarity with the central government’s efforts to root out terror and protect every individual’s life.
