Mumbai, May 3: Actress Rashmika Mandanna celebrated her younger sister Shiman’s birthday with a heartfelt message and an adorable photo, reflecting the close bond the siblings share despite a 16-year age gap.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Rashmika shared a cozy photo of Shiman cuddled up under a blanket with their golden retriever. “My baby sister's birthday and she's growing up so fast. Happiest birthday to you my baby girl! I love you so so much you cutie!” the 29-year-old actress wrote.
Rashmika, who is currently seen in “Sikandar” opposite Salman Khan, has often spoken about her deep connection with her sister. In a past conversation on Neha Dhupia’s podcast No Filter With Neha, the actress opened up about how her family, especially her upbringing, has kept her grounded despite the fame.
“I’ve always had this thing with my sister — she can get anything she wants, but I don’t want her to have everything handed to her,” Rashmika said. “I am who I am because of the values I was raised with, and I want the same for her.”
She emphasized that while she can provide security and comfort, she believes her sister should learn and grow on her own when the time is right. “Right now, she’s just little, and she deserves to enjoy that phase.”
On the professional front, Rashmika is filming “Thama”, a supernatural love story where she plays a historian investigating vampire legends, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana and marks their first collaboration.
Rashmika’s upcoming slate also includes “Kuberaa”, “Pushpa 3”, “The Girlfriend”, and “Rainbow” — all of which are generating buzz in the industry.
