Kajol channels SRK’s met gala look, internet crowns them King and Queen

Mumbai, May 6: Shah Rukh Khan made a jaw-dropping Met Gala debut this year, earning praise for his regal black ensemble and signature flair. But it was his longtime co-star and close friend Kajol who stole the spotlight online by recreating his look in a playful tribute.

Sharing photos of herself in a similar black trench coat adorned with chunky silver accessories, Kajol teased fans with the caption: “Hmmmmmmmm, spot the difference.” Mimicking SRK’s Met Gala vibe, she sported heavy bangles, stylish rings, ear piercings, a nose ring, and minimal makeup with her hair in a ponytail — all echoing SRK’s edgy look.

Fans instantly flooded the comments with excitement: “No difference, Kajol — he is the King, and you are the Queen!” and “Please make a movie together again — we miss you!”

SRK’s Met Gala outfit — a sweeping black coat over an unbuttoned shirt with dazzling jewellery, including a pendant marked “K” — was a nod to this year’s theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. He walked the red carpet with a tiger-topped cane, exuding classic Khan charm.

Filmmaker Karan Johar joined the celebration, sharing videos and pictures of SRK with captions like “All hail the king of the MET!!!” and “The King,” set to the track Here Comes The Hotstepper.

With Kajol’s witty homage and Karan’s fanfare, it was clear: SRK’s reign continues — and he’s still ruling hearts, in style.
