Mumbai, May 13: The BCCI has confirmed that the remainder of the TATA IPL 2025 season will resume on May 17, following a brief suspension earlier this month due to a security scare near Chandigarh.
The tournament was paused on May 8 after the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was called off amid a temporary stadium blackout caused by an attempted airspace intrusion.
In a statement released late Monday, the BCCI said the decision to continue the tournament came after consultations with government and security agencies, as well as other key stakeholders.

The action will restart with Royal Challengers Bengaluru taking on Kolkata Knight Riders at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on May 17.
A total of 17 matches will be played across six cities—Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai—leading up to the final on June 3. The revised schedule features two Sunday double-headers.
Qualifier 1 will be played on May 29, eliminator on May 30, qualifier 2 on June 1 followed by the final on June 3. Venues for the playoffs will be announced soon, the BCCI added.
