Mangaluru, May 17: Milagres College, under the initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), hosted the valedictory and certification ceremony of the life skills add-on courses for the academic year 2024-25 on Saturday, May 17 in the college auditorium.
The event was presided over by Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions. The ceremony was graced by Fr Kenneth Crasta, assistant director of SEC, Vamanjoor, who was the chief guest. The guest of honour was Elias Fernandes, proprietor of Four Winds, Mangaluru.


















A special ‘Guruvandana’ was held to honour Hilda Rodrigues, a retired teacher of St Sebastian Higher Primary School, Hosabettu, in recognition of her dedicated service in the field of education.
The function witnessed the presence of all the resource persons who effectively trained students in a variety of life skills through the add-on courses. These included:

The ceremony highlighted the commitment of Milagres College towards holistic student development by equipping them with vital life skills alongside academic learning.
Dr Michael L Santhumayor, principal of Milagres College, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of practical skill development in today’s competitive world. Chethana Kumari, IQAC co-ordinator, and Tressy Pinto, course co-ordinator, coordinated the event and ensured its success.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to all the participants who successfully completed the add-on courses, marking the end of a fruitful and enriching journey in skill-based learning.
