Udupi, May 17: On the occasion of Nurses Day, Girija Surgicals, a reputed surgical institution from the coastal region, in association with Senior JC Temple City Udupi Legion, organized a special event at the Udupi District Government Hospital to honour and recognize the selfless service of nurses.

The event aimed to appreciate the dedication and commitment of the nursing staff.

Five senior nurses were felicitated on the occasion, while the service of all other nurses was acknowledged and appreciated.

Similar events were also conducted by the organization at various hospitals in Kundapura and Mangaluru, where nurses were honoured for their dedicated service.

District surgeon Dr Ashok, Hospital RMO Dr Vasudeva, senior JC president Shivanand Shettigar, and managing director of Girija Group of Concerns Ravindra Shetty Kadekar nursing superintendent of the hospital Ratnavati, members of the senior JC, and staff from Girija Surgicals were also present were present during the programme.
