Mumbai, May 18: Choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan kicked off her Sunday morning on a cheerful and nostalgic note, sharing a slice of her commute through the city while grooving to a classic Shah Rukh Khan track.
Posting to her Instagram Stories, Farah gave fans a glimpse of Mumbai’s serene early morning roads while heading to a shoot, accompanied by the soulful strains of “Are Re Are” from Dil To Pagal Hai playing in the background. Captioning the moment, she wrote: “Some good music, an early morning shoot n #atalsetu…it’s a good day.”
The light-hearted update came just a day after she posted a humorous response to Shah Rukh Khan’s latest biscuit advertisement, where the superstar waxed poetic about the power of fantasies as a timeless, soul-stirring form of imagination. In classic Farah style, she quipped: “Shah Rukh, maine toh itna hi poocha tha ki fantasy ke baare me tumhara kya khayaal hai…Tum ne toh Fantasy pe movie hi bana di.”
Farah and SRK share a legendary friendship and professional rapport, having created box-office hits like Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Happy New Year, with Farah directing and Shah Rukh in the lead.
While Farah hasn’t helmed a film since 2014’s Happy New Year, she’s keeping busy with a string of exciting projects. She is reportedly developing Main Hoon Na 2, a sequel to her blockbuster directorial debut. She is also in talks with filmmaker Rohit Shetty for a potential collaboration and working on a modern-day remake of the classic Chupke Chupke, in association with producer Bhushan Kumar.
Meanwhile, Farah continues to make her mark in choreography. Her most recent work includes a dance number for the upcoming film Loveyapa, starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor.
With both nostalgia and new projects fueling her creative journey, Farah Khan proves she’s far from taking a back seat in Bollywood.
