Panaji, May 27: Goa BJP President Damu Naik has indicated that disciplinary action may be taken against art and culture minister Govind Gaude for publicly alleging corruption in the Tribal Welfare department, which falls under Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Naik said, “There will be proper action at the right time. Such indiscipline will not be tolerated in future. BJP is a disciplined party, and grievances should be aired on the right forum.”
His comments come a day after Minister Gaude's outburst, where he accused the department of irregularities, triggering internal tension within the ruling party. Naik’s statement suggests the party leadership views Gaude’s public criticism as a breach of internal decorum.
