Mumbai, May 28: Television veteran Smita Bansal has officially concluded her stint on the hit daily soap Bhagya Lakshmi, marking the end of a heartfelt chapter in her illustrious acting journey. Known for portraying the authoritative yet emotionally layered character of Neelam Oberoi, Bansal reflected on her exit with warmth and gratitude.
Describing her time on the show as “fulfilling and rewarding,” Bansal shared how the role offered her not only creative satisfaction but also personal growth. “Bhagya Lakshmi will always hold a very special place in my heart,” she said. “Over these four years, I’ve had the privilege of playing a beautifully written character and forging lifelong bonds with my cast and crew. This set truly became my second home.”
Smita Bansal joined Bhagya Lakshmi in 2021, taking on the pivotal role of Neelam Oberoi—a commanding family matriarch navigating the complexities of tradition, power, and maternal instincts. Her performance brought nuance and depth to the show, quickly becoming a standout presence.
