New Delhi, May 29: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s NDA government completed 11 years in power, Delhi Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra commended the Prime Minister’s leadership, attributing the sustained political success to the people's continued trust.
“The people’s blessings and their unwavering faith in PM Modi have brought us here. His mission has always been to serve the nation, and that dedication has kept him at the helm,” Mishra told IANS on Thursday.
The BJP also released a statement celebrating the milestone, highlighting Modi’s tenure as one marked by decisive leadership and impactful policy-making. Modi, who first assumed office on May 26, 2014, is now serving his third consecutive term, which began on June 9, 2024.

Mishra made these remarks while attending an event under the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, a major central government initiative aimed at transforming Indian agriculture. Launched earlier this week, the campaign will run until June 12, 2025, with the goal of reaching 1.5 crore farmers. It focuses on promoting scientific farming practices, increasing awareness of government schemes, and educating farmers on the benefits of Soil Health Cards for better crop planning.
“Though Delhi doesn’t have a large farming population, two of our ministers have joined this campaign. It shows how seriously the central government takes agricultural reform and farmer welfare,” Mishra noted.
Addressing another issue, Mishra also commented on the deportation of undocumented Bangladeshi migrants in Delhi, a drive intensified after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. “Those who remain illegally must leave the country,” Mishra said bluntly.
Over the past six months, Delhi Police have identified more than 700 undocumented Bangladeshi nationals. Of these, 470 were residing in the capital without valid documents, while 50 others had overstayed their visas. Authorities coordinated their deportation via airlift to Agartala and transfer to Bangladesh through the land border.
The minister’s remarks encapsulate the government’s twin focus — on national security and agricultural development — as it enters its twelfth year in office.
