Moodbidri: Two suspected robbers nabbed, three flee

Moodbidri, May 31: Two individuals suspected of planning a robbery were apprehended by the Moodbidri police late Thursday night at Bollechar in Badaga Mijar village.

Based on a tip-off that five men in an Innova car were allegedly preparing to carry out a robbery, PSI Pratibha and her team conducted a swift operation around 10:30 pm. During the raid, they managed to arrest two suspects, while the other three fled the scene.

The arrested have been identified as Jagadeesh (29) of Subhash Nagar, Marpadi village, and Prashanth alias Panthu (27) of Angarakariya, Hosangady village. During interrogation, the duo reportedly confessed that they were planning a robbery. Police also recovered a sword and a packet of chili powder hidden in the car’s dashboard.
