Mumbai, May 31: Bollywood veteran Jackie Shroff recently brought his classic Mumbai swagger to the Mumbai Indians camp, ahead of their crucial IPL 2025 Qualifier 2 clash against Punjab Kings. The actor, who grew up in the city’s iconic Teen Batti area, was seen sharing light-hearted moments and dance moves with players in a video that has since gone viral.
In a joint post with a fitness brand, Jackie fondly known as the OG Mumbaikar was seen grooving in true Mumbai Street style alongside star cricketers Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. The actor’s charm, spontaneity and street-smart banter drew laughter from the players, with fans calling it a ‘perfect fusion of Mumbai cinema and cricket.’

Rohit and Bumrah, who recently led India in the Border–Gavaskar Trophy, were all smiles as Jackie brought his signature style to the team interaction. Though India lost that series to Australia last December, the camaraderie within Team India’s top players remains strong, as reflected in their relaxed moments with the film star.
On the professional front, Shroff also celebrated a major milestone earlier this year — the 36th anniversary of the iconic action film Ram Lakhan. Reflecting on the journey, he said, “It’s incredible that Ram Lakhan has clocked 36 years. Working under Subhash Ghai with co-stars like Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit was an unforgettable experience. The energy on set and the bond we created still stays with me.”
As Mumbai Indians gear up for their showdown with Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad, Jackie’s nostalgic visit and spirited dance seem to have added a fresh josh to the camp. Whether it’s on screen or off-field, the evergreen actor continues to charm with his undying Mumbaiya energy.
