Washington, Jun 9: After a heated social media spat, tensions between former US President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk have eased, but insiders say the calm may be temporary.
According to Politico, a source said, “He’s stopped posting, but that doesn’t mean he’s happy,” highlighting Trump's silence after Musk’s controversial post. The feud escalated when Musk accused Trump of being named in the Epstein files—a claim that was later deleted and has not been supported by any formal allegations.

Musk also claimed Trump couldn’t have won the presidency without his help, citing $250 million in political contributions. “Such ingratitude,” Musk posted on X, stirring further controversy.
The clash began when Musk criticized Trump’s proposed ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ as a “MOUNTAIN of DISGUSTING PORK.” Still, Trump’s team insisted he remains focused on passing the bill.
While both reportedly considered extreme measures—Musk hinting at impeachment and Trump threatening to cut federal contracts—neither followed through. Analysts say Trump holds sway over the GOP, but Musk, with his vast wealth and control of X, remains a potent challenger.
Though the feud has quieted, observers believe another flare-up could be just a post away.
