Compensation cheque handed over to stadium stampede victim Chinmayi Shetty's family

Udupi, Jun 10: Dr K Vidyakumari, deputy commissioner of Udupi, handed over a compensation cheque of Rs 25 lac to K Karunakar Shetty, the legal heir of Chinmayi Shetty, who tragically lost her life in the stampede that occurred on June 4 at Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The compensation amount was announced by the chief minister as part of the government's relief efforts.

During the cheque distribution, the deputy commissioner also offered her condolences to the grieving family.

Assistant commissioner Rashmi K, the Tahsildar, family members of the deceased, and several others were present during the occasion.
