NIHS launches 6-month Commi Chef certificate programme with pathway to Germany

Mangaluru, Jun 11: The Nitte Institute of Hospitality Services (NIHS), a constituent unit of Nitte (Deemed to be University), has announced the launch of a specialized 6-month certificate programme in Commi Chef training, designed to provide aspiring chefs with comprehensive skills in hot kitchen operations. The programme is certified by the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) and aligns with national skill development goals under the Skill India and NSDC frameworks.

Branded as ‘Mastering the Heat: Hot Kitchen Commi Chef Training’, the course aims to build core culinary competencies among students and enable them to meet international hospitality standards.

What sets this programme apart is its progression pathway to Germany. Upon successful completion, students will have the opportunity to undergo German language training and secure placement through the Ausbildung training programme in Germany, opening up global employment avenues.

The programme is open to candidates who have completed PUC (Pre-University Course) or equivalent. The total course duration is six months, offering practical, hands-on learning essential for a professional culinary career.
