H S Jayaraj appointed president of Kudroli Shri Gokarnanatha temple management committee

Mangaluru, Jun 20: H S Jayaraj, grandson of noted philanthropist Koragappa, has been appointed as the new president of the management committee of Kudroli Shri Gokarnanatha Temple — the only temple in Karnataka consecrated by Brahmashree Narayana Guru.

A joint meeting of the temple’s management and development committees was held on Friday under the guidance of former Union Minister and architect of the temple’s modern transformation, B Janardhan Poojary, to discuss the temple’s overall development. During the meeting, the management committee was reconstituted.

Jayaraj H Somasundaram (H S Jayaraj) was elected as the new president of the management committee. Urmila Ramesh Kumar was appointed as vice president, Madhav Suvarna as general secretary, and Padmaraj R Poojary as treasurer. The newly inducted committee members include H S Sairam, Santosh Janardhan Poojary, Jagadeep Suvarna, Krutin Amin, and Kishore Dandakeri.

Additionally, the development committee was restructured with the selection of 51 members. B Janardhan Poojary urged the committees to organise programmes that promote social unity and align with the progressive values of Brahmashree Narayana Guru.
