Bantwal: Motive behind pregnant wife’s murder may remain a mystery

Bantwal, Jun 21: In a shocking case from Kiltoda in Nadur village of Bantwal, where a man killed his pregnant wife and later died by suicide, the motive behind the crime may remain a mystery, as both individuals involved are now deceased.

The deceased have been identified as Timmapa Moulya and his wife Jayanthi. With no surviving eyewitnesses from within the household, police are faced with the challenge of piecing together the events that led to the murder. Speculations are rife, but establishing a definitive reason behind the killing remains difficult.

Although some preliminary theories suggest that a minor argument might have triggered the act, the true cause may never be known. Since the accused also took his own life, police have limited means to ascertain whether this was a premeditated act or a tragic outcome of a heated altercation.

The couple had reportedly been married for over 16 years and had long struggled with infertility. After years of medical consultations and prayers, the couple was finally expecting their first child. Just months away from welcoming their baby, the tragedy has left the community in deep shock.

Though initial reports suggest the wife may have been suffocated by pressing on her neck and head, authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report conducted at Deralakatte hospital to confirm the exact cause of death.

Questions have also arisen over whether the act was deliberate or if Jayanthi, who was in the later stages of pregnancy, succumbed during a physical altercation. Investigations are ongoing, and police have assured that all aspects will be thoroughly examined once the autopsy report is received.

"The couple had reportedly been married for over 16 years and had long struggled with infertility After years of medical consultations and prayers, the couple was finally expecting their first child" All depends on husband mind set up analytical (mental) perspective. Where or not he accepted medical success/prayers & Gods blessing or he allowed his suspicion & doubts to Grow against his wife's trust. Police will gather all the clues to come to conclusion for sure. (DNA test is inevitable)

Blatant accuse on the wife's character should be stopped..In a fit of rage the husband might have done the unthinkable and when the rage subsided, might have took his own life out of regret.

police should check the call records of both husband and wife on their mobiles..it might give some clue...also rule out involvement of third party in the murder...then just close the case and dont waste time
