Bantwal, Jun 19: A tragic incident has been reported under the jurisdiction of Bantwal rural police station, where a man allegedly murdered his wife following a domestic dispute and later died by suicide.

The incident took place in Badagundi, Navoor village, between 11 pm on June 18 and 8 am on June 19, according to police sources. Timmappa Rama Moolya (52) reportedly had a quarrel with his wife Jayanti (45) over a minor issue. The altercation escalated, during which he allegedly assaulted her and strangled her to death.

Subsequently, Timmappa is believed to have taken his own life by hanging himself near the kitchen area.

It is learnt that the couple had been married for 15 years but had no children until now. Jayanti was currently pregnant, and her baby shower ceremony had been scheduled for July 2.

Following the incident, two separate cases have been registered at Bantwal rural police station. One case (Crime No. 72/2025 under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita - BNS) was filed based on a complaint lodged by Jayanti’s younger sister Sujatha, a resident of Farangipete. The second case (UDR No. 25/2025 under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita - BNSS) was registered based on a complaint filed by Timmappa’s elder brother Vishwanath, a resident of Sajipamooda, Bantwal.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Simply sad incident. Now both are dead whats the use of filing case ?When arguements arise between couples ,one has to stay back whether the other right or not .Specially when men come drunk ,they dont know what they talk.Clear the matter next day when one is dry ,and can understand. Now noone can answer the reason. When woman is pregnent after 15years husband could have be happy and handle her like flower.Instead killed her.Was it the reason for arguement and killing? Now noone can answer what was the reason.May their soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathies to families.

Matthew 19:6 says: "Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." This verse emphasizes the importance of unity and togetherness in relationships, particularly in marriage. Jesus is quoting Genesis 2:24, which highlights the divine institution of marriage. ## Nothing Should Separate You're absolutely right; the Bible teaches that nothing should separate what God has brought together. This includes: 1. *Siblings*: Family relationships should not come between believers and their commitment to God or their spouse (Matthew 10:37-39). 2. *In-laws*: While in-laws can be a blessing, they should not interfere with the unity of a married couple (Genesis 2:24). 3. *Children*: As important as children are, they should not become an idol or a point of division in a marriage (Matthew 10:37-39). 4. *Idols*: Any idol, whether material or immaterial, should not separate believers from their commitment to God or their spouse (Exodus 20:3-5). 5. *Job/Career*: While work is important, it should not become an idol or a point of division in a marriage (1 Corinthians 7:29-31). ## Prioritizing Unity To maintain unity, it's essential to prioritize: 1. *Communication*: Open and honest communication is vital in any relationship. 2. *Forgiveness*: Letting go of grudges and forgiving one another helps maintain unity. 3. *Mutual respect*: Valuing and respecting each other's differences is crucial. 4. *Shared values*: Aligning with shared values and priorities helps strengthen relationships. By prioritizing unity and following biblical principles, believers can maintain strong, healthy relationships that honor God.
