Mumbai, Jun 27: Known for her charm and versatility, actress Rashmika Mandanna has shocked and mesmerised fans with the brutal first look of her upcoming solo-lead film Mysaa. The poster, released on Friday, has Rashmika nearly unrecognisable- blood-smeared, hair wild with fury, and sword drawn in a fearsome battle cry- signalling a fierce departure from her usual roles.
The makers shared the intense first look on social media with the caption, “Raised with grit. Relentless in will. She roars. Not to be heard, but to be feared.” The visual impact of the poster has already sent waves across the internet, positioning Mysaa as one of Rashmika’s most ambitious projects yet.
The actress, visibly emotional about the transformation, opened up on social media, saying this role pushed her into unexplored territory. “This is one of the most challenging characters I’ve taken on… a version of me even I hadn’t met till now,” she wrote, describing the experience as “fierce, intense, and extremely raw.”
Only a day before, a teaser poster had teased audiences with the tagline “Hunted. Wounded. Unbroken.” – hinting at the emotional and physical toll the character endures. That visual had Rashmika clutching a spear, her gaze steely and unyielding- setting the stage for a narrative rooted in survival, vengeance, and inner fire.
Directed by Rawindra Pulle, Mysaa marks a major milestone for Rashmika as her first solo-headlined film- a defining moment in her career evolution. The gritty look and warrior theme are in stark contrast to her recent role in the big-budget action film Sikandar opposite Salman Khan. Despite the film’s underwhelming performance at the box office, Mysaa seems poised to redefine Rashmika’s image in the industry.
With anticipation building, Rashmika’s new avatar in Mysaa is not just a transformation- it’s a declaration. A star once known for her bubbly charisma is now donning blood, grit, and rage - and she’s roaring not to be heard, but to be feared.
