Major reshuffle: 52 dcp-level officers transferred across Maharashtra

Pune, Jun 28: In a significant administrative shake-up, the Maharashtra Home Department on Friday night issued transfer orders for 52 senior police officers of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) rank across the state.

Several key postings and transfers have taken place within the Pune Police Department, notably affecting its traffic and zone-level leadership.

Amol Zende, the DCP of the Traffic Branch in Pune, has been transferred to the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) in Daund. Similarly, Smarta Patil, the DCP of Zone 2 in Pune, has been posted to the Police Training Centre in Khandala.

Swapna Gore, who was serving as DCP in Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, has now been transferred to the SRPF Group 2.

In another key development, Tejaswini Satpute, Superintendent in the Arms Inspection Branch, has been appointed Superintendent in SRPF Group 1.

Meanwhile, Somay Munde, DCP of Zone 1 in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad), has been transferred to the Pune Police force. Additionally, Rishikesh Rawale, the Additional Superintendent of Police from Sindhudurg, has been appointed as DCP in Pune City Police.

Rajalakshmi Shivankar, the Superintendent of SRPF in Daund, will also now serve as DCP in Pune Police.

The widespread transfers are part of a broader effort to restructure the leadership and enhance operational efficiency across police departments in Maharashtra.
