Amaal Mallik claims Bollywood trying to sideline Kartik Aaryan like Sushant Singh Rajput

Mumbai, Jul 4: In a startling revelation, music composer and singer Amaal Mallik has alleged that top producers in Bollywood are attempting to corner actor Kartik Aaryan, much like what happened with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Speaking in a candid interview with Mirchi Plus, Amaal opened up about the dark undercurrents of the film industry.

"He's also a newcomer who has come in, done his bit... but there are many in the industry plotting to remove him. Power plays, manipulation — all of it is done by big producers and actors," Mallik stated.

Drawing parallels with Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic story, Amaal said, “This industry has a way of demoralising and mentally affecting people. Sushant’s death opened the public’s eyes. For once, the film industry was exposed. People saw through the toxic reality.”

Remembering Sushant Singh Rajput, who died by suicide on June 14, 2020, Amaal said, “That man couldn’t take it. Whether it was suicide or something else, he is gone. That’s the bitter truth.” He added that Kartik Aaryan too is facing similar challenges but continues to smile and dance through the struggles.

“This industry is so dark, it takes lives,” Amaal remarked, stressing how the public has begun to understand what really goes on behind the glamour.

The remarks come just days after Sushant Singh Rajput’s fifth death anniversary, reviving conversations around mental health, nepotism, and systemic sidelining within Bollywood.
