Indore, Jul 21: IndiGo Airlines faced two technical incidents in under 24 hours involving its Airbus A321neo aircraft, prompting concerns over fleet reliability and attracting scrutiny from civil aviation authorities.
On Monday, flight 6E 813 from Goa to Indore made an emergency landing following a suspected hydraulic malfunction linked to the landing gear. The aircraft, which took off from Goa at 3:14 p.m., began circling Indore’s airspace after the cockpit issued an undercarriage warning.
Emergency crews, including fire and medical units, were deployed at Indore Airport. The aircraft landed safely at 5:08 p.m., with all 140 passengers and crew unharmed.

This incident came just a day after flight 6E 6591 from Tirupati to Hyderabad experienced a technical snag shortly after take-off on Sunday evening. The aircraft, also an A321neo, returned to Tirupati and landed safely at 8:34 p.m. The flight was later cancelled.
While IndiGo has not issued a detailed statement, aviation sources say both instances were precautionary responses to cockpit alerts, not structural failures.
The close timing and involvement of the same aircraft model have raised red flags, with regulators likely to review maintenance procedures and alert handling protocols.
Passengers from both flights praised the professionalism of the crew, even as aviation experts call for clarity on whether a broader pattern is emerging with the A321neo fleet.
