Brahmavar, Jul 23: Three accused were found brutally beating and tying a cow near the newly constructed roadside and attempting to load it into a car at Neerjeddu near Moorkai Pete in Shiruru on July 20.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Mujafir and Krishna Naik.
According to a complaint filed by Sudeep, he noticed the three men trying to forcefully load the cow into the car as he approached the spot on his bike. Upon seeing him, one of the accused fled the scene, while the other two managed to escape with the cow in the vehicle.




Brahmavar police have registered a case. It is reported that the accused were attempting to transport the cow illegally for slaughter, subjecting it to cruel treatment.
During the investigation led by Brahmavar PSI, two of the accused were arrested and a Ford EcoSport car bearing registration number KA-20-Z-6107 was seized. The first accused, Mujafir, was arrested from Haikadi under Shankaranarayana Police Station limits, while the second accused, Krishna Naik, was apprehended from Neerjeddu-33, Shiruru. Both were produced before the court.
One more accused remains absconding, and efforts are underway to trace him.
