Kasargod, Feb 1: In an incident which occurred at Kanvateertha in Manjeshwar in the district on Tuesday January 31 evening, a student was killed after being knocked down by a school bus. The victim has been identified as Abdul Khader Salim (5), a UKG student of a private English medium school in Kanvateertha.
The boy was the son of T A Ahmed from Kanvateertha. He had got down from the school bus after school hours in front of his home, and was crossing the road to reach it, when the same bus moved ahead and knocked him down.
A case of negligent driving was registered by the policemen of Manjeshwar police station against the bus driver.
