Udupi, July 27: In a significant initiative aimed at addressing the growing concerns around infertility and reproductive health, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, is set to host a free fertility screening camp on Wednesday, July 30 and Thursday, 31. The camp will be conducted by the department of reproductive medicine and surgery, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on both days.
The camp is open to couples and individuals facing challenges related to fertility and seeks to provide them with expert consultation and early diagnostic support. As part of this special drive, free medical consultations will be offered along with 50% discounts on select fertility investigations, including:

Semen analysis
Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) test
Basic hormonal profile
Pelvic ultrasound scan
Speaking about the camp, Dr Prashanth Adiga, professor and head of the Department of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, said: “This initiative is especially beneficial for couples who have been trying to conceive for more than a year without success, individuals with known fertility issues, those considering IVF or other assisted reproductive techniques, and anyone seeking a second opinion. It is also helpful for patients with repeated miscarriages, failed IUI/IVF attempts, or low sperm counts. We encourage anyone interested in learning more about reproductive health and fertility options to attend.”
Dr Avinash Shetty, medical superintendent of Kasturba Hospital, emphasised the importance of awareness and early intervention, stating: “Infertility is a common yet treatable condition. This camp is designed to offer timely guidance and expert support to those affected, and to help them take the first step towards fulfilling their parenthood dreams.”
The hospital encourages interested individuals and couples to take advantage of this opportunity to access specialised care at minimal cost.
