M'luru: Grandparents honoured at World Grandparents Day celebration in Farla Church, Bantwal

Mangaluru, Jul 28: Our lady of Vailankanni church Farla Bantwal, Women's Association and Women's Commission together celebrated the World Grandparents Day on Sunday, July 27. In the morning there was a holy Mass offered by Fr Theodor D’Cunha and others.

There was a stage programme followed by mass. Fr Mark Arun D'Souza parish priest admired the sacrifice and hard work of the elders and also congratulated the Women's Association for conducting such a meaningful programme in his presidential speech.

Fr Theodor D’Cunha, Fr Gilbert Mascarenhas, resource person Sr Agnes Frank B S, Parish Pastoral Council vice president Naveen Menezes, secretary Hilda Pereira, all Commissions commissioner Sunitha Rodrigues, president of the Association Irine D’Souza, secretary Joyce D’Souza were present.

There was a exhibition of medicinal plants and resource person Sr Agnes Frank talked about the uses of these plants in our daily life.

There was cultural programme and dinner of different rainy season dishes at the end.

Sunita Baptist and Jyothi Sequiera conducted the programme. Secretary welcomed the gathering and president proposed the vote of thanks.
