Byndoor: Man slips into Souparnika river, dies in tragic mishap

Byndoor, Aug 8: A morning turned tragic in Kollur on Thursday (Aug 7) when a local resident lost his life after accidentally slipping into the Souparnika River while taking a bath.

The deceased has been identified as Natesh Baliga (36), son of Narasimha Baliga, a resident of Kollur. According to police sources, Natesh slipped, fell into the river, and was swept away by the current. His body was later recovered near the Mavinkaru bridge. Kollur Police have registered a case.

Natesh was known for running a small eatery near the temple vehicle parking area. Described by locals as friendly and soft-spoken, he remained unmarried and is survived by his parents and sister.
