Mumbai: Durgaparameshwari Temple Seeks Funds for Renovation

Mumbai, Feb 3: M Tungappa Bangera Murje, member, Karnataka State Backward Commission and chairman of Durgaparameshwari Temple located at Kallabettu in Pilatabettu gram panchayat in Bantwal taluk, released the brochures seeking donations to renovate the temple at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore on Thursday February 2.

Temple managing trustee Narayan Shetty Kumangila, convener Lokesh Acharya, joint convener Janardhan Punjalkatte, and S Sitaram Shetty were present on the occasion.

Durgaparameshwari Temple, Kallabettu has a history of eight centuries of being worshipped by Shadanga lineage family.  The renovation work has already begun under the leadership of metro’s entrepreneur and temple honorary chairman Sundaraj Hegde.  The temple renovation committee seeks generous contributions from donors in the metro.
