‘Suvichearancho Fenno’ Konknni Book released at Curchorem

Goa, Aug 10: ‘Mylee Publication’ published the book ‘Suvichearancho Fenno’ on August 9 at Curchorem, in the Curchorem MLA’s office.

“We are proud that the names of Curchorem and Xelvona shine in the literary world through the literary works of poet and translator Edvin Fernandes. I had the privilege of publishing many of his books. It is my wish that Edvin’s literary journey be long and wide,” said Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral in his speech.

Vice-chairperson Yolanda Pereira also praised Edvin’s literary work and congratulated him.

So far, poet Edvin Fernandes has written and published various types of books in both Konkani and English. These include poems, articles, short stories, novels, plays, biographies and summaries, four-liners (charolli), and quizzes. His books include Novi Dixa, Goychi Bhuim, Surbus Yadi, Ekvotta Bollgem, Monittor, Protikar, Pedru Correira Afonso Jivit ani Vaur, Padr. Vital Miranda Jivit ani Vaur, Savott, Fuleram, 2023 Full Forms, 2024 Short Forms, Come on Kids and Suvichearancho Fenno.

“Edvin has a great passion for Konkani,” said Cabral. In a way according to Cabral, Edvin’s heart is filled with love for Konkani seeing his various literary contribution in the literary world as mentioned above.

Present at the book launch were Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) vice chairperson Yolanda Pereira, chef Stanley Vaz, social worker Flory, Rosita, and the author Edvin Fernandes.

This book is very important for writers, readers, and Tiatrist (traditional Goan theatre artistes). Edvin said that it took him six years to prepare this book and thanked everyone who was present.
