Mansi Suvarna of Udupi wins bronze at national boxing championship; minister Hebbalkar congratulates

Udupi, Aug 13: Mansi J Suvarna of Udupi has won a bronze medal at the National Boxing Championship held in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Mansi, the daughter of Malathi and Jagadish Suvarna of Malpe in Udupi, hails from a fishing family.

Congratulating Mansi on her achievement, Minister for Women and Child Development Lakshmi Hebbalkar said, “She is an inspiration to other boxers in the state. Boxing is rare in coastal districts. May this sport grow further, and may the children of the coast shine in boxing. I wish Mansi Suvarna many more medals in national and international competitions in the coming days, bringing glory to the state and the country. Our government will always stand firmly behind her in her sporting journey.”
