Panaji, Aug 24: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will allocate portfolios to newly-inducted Ministers Digambar Kamat and Ramesh Tawadkar on Monday.

State BJP President Damu Naik told reporters on Saturday that the distribution of portfolios has been scheduled on the auspicious day of Lord Damodar, Margao’s presiding deity. “Monday is an auspicious day as per the Hindu muhurat. The Chief Minister will allocate portfolios for the newly-inducted Ministers on Monday,” Naik said in the presence of Minister Kamat.

He, however, refrained from revealing which portfolio would be given to which Minister, adding that the media will come to know on Monday.

When asked about Goa Forward chief Vijai Sardesai’s remark that the CM is overburdened with nearly 45 portfolios, Naik declined to comment but extended Ganesh Chaturthi greetings to Sardesai.
