Makkah, Aug 28: Barely weeks after the successful conclusion of Hajj 2025, Saudi Arabia has swung into action to prepare for the 1447 AH (2026) Hajj season, with a high-level coordination meeting held in Makkah on Wednesday.
The session, inaugurated by Deputy Emir of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, was organized under the patronage of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region. The meeting brought together representatives of over 40 government agencies, security bodies, and service providers, marking the official start of forward planning.
Officials reviewed the outcomes of the 2025 Hajj season, analyzing service delivery and logistical challenges. Prince Saud stressed that serving pilgrims is a “great responsibility” requiring integrated efforts, technology adoption, and continuous improvements to ensure that millions of faithful can perform rituals in safety, comfort, and spiritual tranquility.
The meeting, jointly organized by the Principality of Makkah Region and the Hajj Projects Management Office under the Pilgrim Experience Program (Vision 2030), focused on key priorities such as crowd management, technological integration, inter-agency coordination, and service upgrades for the 2026 pilgrimage.
With comprehensive planning already underway, Saudi authorities reaffirmed their commitment to consolidating past successes while laying a strong foundation for a seamless and spiritually fulfilling Hajj 2026.
