Mangalore, Feb 6: Amar Lal Daultani took over charge as executive director of public sector Corporation Bank on February 3. Before being appointed to the post, he had been functioning as the general manager of Chennai regional office of the bank, which oversees Corporation Bank’s business development in south Indian states.

Daultani, who holds postgraduate degree in economics from Agra University, joined Corporation Bank as management trainee in 1978. He has in-depth experience of having worked in advances, foreign exchange, and general banking departments, apart from management.

He also has functioned as the head of Kanpur, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad zones of the bank, apart from heading important branches of the bank. Before taking over charge of Chennai region, Daultani had served in the capacity of the executive assistant of chairman and managing director at Kolkota office of the bank, apart from working as deputy general manager and general manager (advances) for some time there.
