Pune, Sep 10: In a shocking incident, a 29-year-old software engineer and his wife were allegedly assaulted inside a multiplex in Pimpri Chinchwad after he objected to a man narrating the storyline of a horror movie aloud during the screening.
According to police, the incident occurred last week when the complainant had gone with his wife to watch The Conjuring – Last Rites. The accused, seated in the row behind with his wife, kept explaining the plot of the film loudly, disturbing fellow viewers.
When the complainant requested him to stop so as not to spoil the suspense, the accused allegedly abused and attacked him. Matters escalated further when the complainant’s wife intervened, and she too was assaulted by the accused couple.
The techie sustained minor injuries in the incident and later lodged a complaint with the police. Investigations are underway.
