Udupi, Feb 9: The district Nagarika Samiti staged a protest in front of clock tower on Wednesday February 8, condemning the viewing of porn clippings by ministers Laxman Savadatti, C C Patil, and Krishna J Palemar on a mobile phone at the legislative assembly when the meeting was in progress on Tuesday February 7.

Addressing the protesters, district Nagarika Samiti president Nityanand Olakadu said that it was shame that ministers were viewing the clipping while the assembly was in session.  “It’s an unpardonable offence and an injustice to voters.  The incident has restrained the women from venturing out freely,” he said.

He urged the state police authorities to imprison the erring ministers and ban them from entering the state. Ganesh Rao Saralebettu and other members of the district Nagarika Samiti were present on the occasion.
