Mumbai, Sep 19: Legendary actress Shabana Azmi celebrated her 75th birthday on September 18 with a star-studded gathering of family and friends from the film fraternity. The intimate celebration, hosted alongside her husband and veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar, witnessed the presence of Bollywood stalwarts including Rekha, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Urmila Matondkar, Dia Mirza, Farah Khan, Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah and designer Manish Malhotra.

The evening’s highlight was a heartwarming moment when Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar took to the floor, dancing gracefully to Connie Francis’ timeless classic Pretty Little Baby. The video, shared by filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan on Instagram, has since gone viral, winning hearts across social media.

The couple, married for over four decades, twirled to the melody in perfect sync, dressed in colour-coordinated red and black outfits, much to the delight of the audience, who watched in admiration.

“Now that’s how you turn 75! Happy birthday @azmishabana18, may you and @javedjaduofficial always be this young,” Farah Khan captioned the video.

The celebrations also saw other memorable performances, including a clip shared by Manish Malhotra featuring Rekha, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit dancing to the popular song Kaisi Paheli Zindagani from Parineeta.
