Kaup, Sep 19: Padubidri police arrested two youths for allegedly attempting to sell the narcotic drug MDMA near Uchhila Polya Bubal Ground in Bada village, within the Padubidri police station limits.
Police sub-inspector Saktivelu, along with his team, rushed to the spot and found two suspects standing with a motorcycle. Upon interrogation, the accused were identified as Farhan, a resident of Fakiran Katte Mosque, Mallaru village, Kaup, and Mohammed Hashim, a resident of Kombagudde, Mallaru-Majoor village, Kaup.

During the search, police recovered 9.30 grams of MDMA from the accused, along with Rs 5,000 in cash, a motorcycle worth Rs 1.8 lac, and two mobile phones valued at Rs 6,000.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Dr Harsha Priyavadha, IPS, assistant superintendent of police, Karkala Sub-Division, and led by Kaup circle inspector Jayashree Mane. The team included PSI Saktivelu, PSI Anil Kumar, ASI Rajesh P, ASI Girish, head constables Krishnaprasad and Ramesh, constable Sandesh, and woman constable Rukmini.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
