Mangaluru, Sep 20: The South Canara District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd (SCDCC Bank) on Saturday handed over two Scorpio vehicles to the Mangaluru city police at its head office premises at SCDCC Bank Ltd, Sadashiva Sahakara Sadana, KSR Road, Kodialbail.
The event was presided over by Dr M N Rajendra Kumar, president of Karnataka State Cooperative Apex Bank Ltd and SCDCC Bank. In his address, he reiterated the bank’s commitment to social responsibility and community welfare, emphasizing the importance of supporting public service departments such as the police.










The vehicles were formally received by commissioner of police, Mangaluru, Sudhir Kumar Reddy, IPS, who was the chief guest. Expressing his gratitude, he said, “This means a lot to us. The bank agreed to provide the vehicles in such a short time. With this support, we can now respond to emergencies much faster, especially in cases related to women’s safety.”
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, with officials noting that the initiative underscores the strong bond between cooperative institutions and society.
