Margao, Sep 20: Goa Forward Party chief and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai has hit out at the state administration over the slow pace of public service delivery, urging Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to strictly implement the Time-Bound Delivery of Services framework to ensure citizens receive timely relief.
Speaking to the media after his weekly public durbar at Goemkar Ghor, Sardesai said he continues to receive a large number of complaints from people facing unnecessary delays in government offices.
“When citizens say their files are stuck, we are compelled to call officials directly to find out the status. This clearly shows that the Time-Bound Service Delivery rules introduced by the late Manohar Parrikar are not being followed,” Sardesai said.

He called on the Chief Minister to take serious note of this administrative lethargy and issue directions to ensure that all departments adhere to the mandated timelines for public service delivery.
During the durbar, residents from the Housing Board area also raised concerns about a power outage caused by road digging for a gas pipeline project. Sardesai said the digging had damaged underground power cables, leaving locals without electricity.
Separately, Sardesai addressed a local issue involving a roadside cross, stating that he is willing to assist in its relocation. He assured residents that the cross will be shifted and rebuilt at his personal expense, addressing concerns over its preservation.
