Mangaluru: KSRTC launches special Dasara temple tour packages

Mangaluru, Sep 22: On the occasion of Dasara and Navaratri celebrations, the KSRTC Mangaluru Division has introduced special Dasara package tours to provide pilgrims and tourists from far and wide the opportunity to visit coastal temples. The initiative offers devotees the fortune of divine darshan while promoting coastal tourism.

From September 22 to October 2, KSRTC will operate special package tours covering prominent temples around Mangaluru as well as routes to Madikeri, Kollur, and Sigandur. Unlike earlier years, this time the tour has been expanded to include local temples such as Kodyadka and Hosabag Sigandur temples.

Mangaluru Dasara Navadurga darshan package

Route: Mangaluru Bus Stand – Maroli Suryanarayana Temple – Bolar Hale Kote Temple – Shree Mangaladevi Temple – Polali Rajarajeshwari Temple – Hosanadu Kodyadka Annapoorneshwari Temple (lunch) – Shree Kateel Durgaparameshwari Temple – Bappanadu Durgaparameshwari Temple, Mulki – Sasihithlu Bhagavathi Temple – Chitrapura Durgaparameshwari Temple – Urwa Marigudi Temple – Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple – back to Mangaluru Bus Stand
Time: 8:00 am to 8:30 pm
Fare: Adults Rs 500, children (6–12 years) Rs 400

Mangaluru–Madikeri package tour

Route: Mangaluru – Madikeri – Raja Seat – Abbey Falls – Nisargadhama – Golden Temple – back to Mangaluru Bus Stand.
Time: 7:00 am to 9:30 pm
Fare: Adults Rs 600, children Rs 500

Mangaluru–Kollur package tour

Route: Mangaluru Bus Stand – Uchila Mahalaxmi Temple – Kapu Marigudi Temple – Kamalashile Brahmi Durgaparameshwari Temple (lunch) – Kollur Mookambika Temple – Maranakatte Brahmalingeshwara Temple – back to Mangaluru Bus Stand
Time: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
Fare: Adults Rs 600, children Rs 500

Mangaluru–Sigandur package tour

Route: Mangaluru Bus Stand – Kundapur – Sigandur Chowdeshwari Temple – Kollur Mookambika Temple – back to Mangaluru Bus Stand
Time: 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
Fare: Adults Rs 700, children Rs 600

Dasara Durga darshan package

Covers eight temples. Starting from Udupi City Bus Stand at 7:30 am, the tour includes Neelavara Mahishamardini Temple (Brahmavar), Mandarthi Durgaparameshwari Temple, Kamalashile Brahmi Durga Temple, Kollur Durgaparameshwari and Mookambika Temples, Maranakatte Brahmalingeshwara Temple, Neralakatte Soukuru Durgaparameshwari Temple, and returns to Udupi by 7:30 pm

Udupi temple tours

Two packages are available from Udupi: Shringeri Darshan and Dasara Durga Darshan.

• Fare: Adults Rs 500, children (6–12 years) Rs 400.
• Note: Tourists will have to bear breakfast and lunch expenses separately.
Route includes Kodyadka Annapoorneshwari Temple, Shringeri Sharadamba Temple (via SK Border), Kigga Rishyasringa Temple, Haripura Matha, Perdoor Anantapadmanabha Temple, and back to Udupi by 7:30 pm.

Senior divisional controller of KSRTC Mangaluru division, Rajesh Shetty, informed that these packages are designed to provide pilgrims and tourists arriving from distant places during Navaratri an affordable travel option. Online advance booking facilities have been made available, along with booking counters at bus stations.
