Mangalore, Feb 9: "Youth need to get together and contribute by involving themselves in community service activities, only then can we see a positive change in society," remarked N Vishal Hegde, trustee, Nitte Education Trust.

He was speaking as the chief guest during the installation ceremony of Jc Mahesh Kamath P as the 50th president of JCI Mangalore.

Past EVP Jc Anil Kumar and zone vice-president JFM Jayavikram were the guests of honour for the programme. Jc Roshan Deepak Pinto was elected secetary and Jc Aldrin Vaz, Jc Naveenchandra, Jc Sunil Stephan Vas, Jc Shashidhar were elected vice-presidents, Jc Swetha Jain was elected treasurer and Jc Nutan Kamath was elected Jaycerete chairperson for the year of 2012. Jc Heerachand presented a report of the activities conducted last year.

JCI Mangalore is one the oldest chapters of Junior Chamber International and is celebrating golden jubilee this year. JCI Mangalore is a training organization which emphasizes on individual development. To promote the zone presidents theme of Back to Basics and to give more importance to training youth N Vishal Hegde unveiled the training brochure of JCI Mangalore on this occasion.

Ln Kishore Rao, district governor for Lions District 324D5 and Jc K Aravind rao, past president of JCI Mangalore were felicitated on the occasion. Jc Vijay Vishnu Mayya compered.
