Mumbai, Sep 22: A speeding Lamborghini lost control and crashed into a divider on Mumbai’s Coastal Road on Sunday morning, leaving the luxury car badly damaged. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
A video of the accident, which has now gone viral, shows the Lamborghini skidding before ramming into the divider. The impact left the bumper and hood torn apart, while the front trunk was flung open, exposing the internal components of the car. Debris was seen scattered across the road as onlookers gathered around the wreckage.
The video was shared on Instagram by Gautam Singhania, Chairman of Raymond Group, who remarked, “Another day, another Lamborghini mishap… Do these cars even have traction control?” His post sparked debate about the handling and safety of the high-performance vehicles, especially after several similar incidents in the past.
Police sources said the crash was likely caused by rain-soaked road conditions, which may have led to the driver losing control.
The driver was identified as 52-year-old Atish Shah, who was travelling from Nepean Sea Road to Colaba when the accident occurred. Police have launched a probe into the matter.
