Udupi, Feb 10: A Research report on media projections and women’s status was released at Milagres College, Kallianpur, here on Wednesday February 8. Mary A R Sreshta, advocate, Notary Public and Registrar of Marriages, Udupi, released the university grants commission sponsored minor research report by Prof Melwin C Rego, HOD, Sociology, Milagres College, Kallianpur.

Mary A R Sreshta, the chief guest, while releasing the research report said that the research work of Melwin Rego is commendable and has given us a thought to think about the negative projections of women in the media and the impact it has on the women folk.

The guest of honour and the principal of Milagres Pre-University College appreciated the academic work done by Melwin Rego. He felicitated Melwin Rego on this occasion. The president of the programme and the Principal of the college , Dr Nery Cornelio complimented Melwin Rego on this occasion and appreciated him for his research work.

Melwin Rego, welcomed the gathering and introduced to the audience his research work, findings and conclusions. The programme was compered by Sana and Famida proposed the vote of thanks.
