Washington, Sep 27: Tesla CEO Elon Musk has firmly denied claims linking him to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein after a newly released six-page document noted a tentative trip by the tech billionaire to Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands on December 6, 2014.

The document, made public by Democratic lawmakers, included an itinerary with Musk’s name alongside the remark, “Is this still happening?” but provided no confirmation that the visit ever occurred. Musk swiftly refuted the allegation on X, calling it “false.”

The same batch of Epstein’s calendar entries also mentioned a planned breakfast with former White House strategist Steve Bannon on February 16, 2019, and a tentative meeting with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates on December 5, 2014.

Democratic lawmakers have urged the US Justice Department to release all remaining Epstein case files, countering conspiracy theories about a so-called “client list.” The Trump administration previously stated no such list exists.

Musk, who recently resigned as head of the Department of Government Efficiency after a feud with former President Donald Trump, has repeatedly pressed the government to make the Epstein files public. In posts on X, he questioned whether electronic travel records of Epstein’s flights could be retrieved and criticised Trump for allegedly failing to deliver on promises of transparency.

The disclosures have reignited debate over the scope of Epstein’s connections to powerful figures, even as Musk maintains he never visited the island and had no association with the disgraced financier.
